    Radiology Clinic In Griffith

Do you need radiology services in Griffith? With Xplore Radiology you’re in the hands of some of the most experienced and professionals in the region. Offering a range of services including X-Rays, ultrasounds, 3T MRI’s, pregnancy ultrasounds and CT scans, our team has your health and wellbeing at the forefront of what we do.

Xplore Radiology Griffith is one of the only local providers of 3T MRI’s. These MRI scans provide better images of the brain, spine and other organs when compared to a standard MRI, helping your GP understand more about your condition and pain. An MRI picks up changes in cartilage and bone structure that has resulted from an injury, a disease or simply through aging. These scans can detect herniated discs, spinal cord compression, fractures and much more.

MRI scans aren’t overly uncomfortable, however sometimes you may be placed into an uncomfortable position to ensure the best image is captured. If you are unable to stay in the required position, it is important to advise the technician on the day – moving during the scan provides a blurry and unreadable image.

Time spent completing a MRI will vary, generally between 30 minutes to 2 hours, however you will be provided more information on booking to allow you to plan your day. Afterwards, we will ask you to wait until your films are ready, and results will be sent to your doctor on the same day.

Need an X-Ray with a quick turnaround time or fitting one in on your lunch break? Generally, our X-Rays take 15 minutes to complete, and results are with your referring doctor within 24-48 hours, often on the same day. Some X-Rays may take longer depending on what your doctor has requested.

Similarly with ultrasounds – most take around 30-60 minutes for our sonographers to capture all the images we need for your doctor. Images and results are then processed and sent to your referring doctor within 24-48 hours.

While X-Rays don’t tend to have any preparation required, it is wise to check upon booking. We do request that you advise us if you are pregnant or could possibly be pregnant so that we can take extra precautions. For those attending Xplore Radiology Griffith for an ultrasound, there is a good chance you will have some preparation to do prior to your scan. Please ensure you check with our team on booking to ensure we get the best scan possible to send back to your referring doctor.

Both these procedures are straight-forward and our friendly team will have you back to enjoying your day as quickly as possible. After your procedure, we recommend you book a follow up appointment with your doctor to obtain results and further health care if required.

If you are attending our clinic for a Nuchal Translucency scan we recommend that you have the required blood test done approximately a week beforehand. This allows enough time for your blood test results to come back, and combined with your NT scan, results to be sent to your referring doctor within a 48 hour timeframe.

The entire team at Xplore Radiology look forward to welcoming you to our Griffith clinic. We take your health care seriously, and our friendly and professional team will look after you.
