Xplore gives back to volunteers during National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration in May that acknowledges the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers.
This year, Xplore Radiology decided to show our appreciation for Community Transport for its outstanding contribution to the community.
For many years, Community Transport has provided access to Leeton & Narrandera residents. Whether it be to attend medical appointments, visit the shops, or just to get out and about, vulnerable residents, including the elderly and those living with disabilities, have relied on Community Transport’s flexible door-to-door service to get around. From July 2021 until the end of May 2022 their volunteer drivers amassed well over 7000 hours.
At Xplore Radiology, we often have patients using this service to attend appointments and have come to know many of their volunteer drivers.
To show our appreciation to the dedication of their hard work and dedication, Xplore Radiology presented a National Volunteer Week Certificate of Appreciation with a letter of thanks to Lauren Poulson – Community Transport Provider. We also donated a $5 gift voucher at a local café in Leeton ‘The Coffee Tree’ with an Xplore Radiology pen to each of the 23 individual volunteer drivers.
Xplore Radiology would like to thank each and every volunteer at Community Transport for all you do to support the community.
